first convertible produced by Packard since the
war, the Super 8 was a newly designed motor with
a displacement of 327 Cu In. The streamlined
body style exudes the flamboyance and style of
its Era like few other cars can. This is a rare

radio, heater, and the legendary Packard 3
speed/OD gearbox.
SUPER EIGHT CONVERTIBLE MODEL #2232 The 2232
convertible was introduced July 25th, 1947 and
produced until May 1st, 1948. This car’s
production date is November 8, 1947. Motor
Serial Number G428008 ENGINE REFINEMENTS. 3 ½ BY
4 ½ inches, 327 cubic inches; 145hp at 3600 rpm;
torque 226 lb/ft at 2000 rpm. Compression ratio:
7.0. Crankshaft: five main bearings. Carburetor:
Carter. Cooling: radiator capacity 20 quarts.
TRANSMISSION REFINEMENTS. Rear axle ratio 3.9
CHASSIS REFINEMENTS. Wheelbase: 120 inches BODY
REFINEMENTS. Convertibles added to the lineup
